In this third and final part of my three-part series on Christian Domestic Discipline, we explore how the practice of domestic discipline continue through the middle-ages and even into America up until the mid-20th century. We will look at writings of church theologians as well as civil practices and court cases which upheld the husbands right and duty of “domestic discipline” as it later came to be called.
