  1. Hello BGR, I am a frustrated mother trying to counsel my daughter’s numerous rejections of men in our local church. She has had ample opportunities for finding a mate but always breaks it off for petty reasons. She is 28 and I fear she won’t find anyone. Please help.

      Is her father (your husband) out of the the picture? If so is there another godly man (uncle, grandfather, pastor) whom you could appeal to – to step in and speak with her? Your daughter needs to realize there are not perfect men. If a man appears to be a person of good godly character who regularly attends church and has a good job that can support her that should be good enough. That was good enough for women of past ages. If there is no father in the picture, you need to find some godly men and organize an intervention for her to help her realize she is on the wrong path and she needs to drop her perfectionist requirements for men else she will never get married as God desires her to do.

      And her breaking up with men also indicates a submissiveness issue on her part – that most likely she will rebel against her husband or nick pick at him for petty reasons as well. She needs to see that now. And Lord willingly she will drop this attitude long enough to marry a good Christian man who and wash her, rebuke her and chasten her as the Lord does his church to make her into the meek, submissive and godly woman that God wants her to be.
